ABOUT “BÁU” EPISODE 01
My grandparents used to put up a couple sets of bánh chưng every single Tết, but this year they have decided to "retire" from it. My grandpa used to say that making bánh chưng is one of the only two "scenes" he's ever wanted to relive, if he ever has the chance.
That's why finishing this .báu. the treasure project and presenting him with this film (together with this little achievement) means a lot to both myself and my grandparents. It is the greatest and proudest thing that has ever happened to my life.
ABOUT .báu. the treasure
The initial idea for .báu. the treasure project came from the memories of mine. As we grow up, we may forget how lucky we were sometimes. In this project, we filmed random montages and conversations to bring back some good fading memories and values, to remember and to respect. .báu. the treasure is a project from The Orange Blues Team, which was made to cherish Vietnamese cultural ‘treasures’.
